Some of the work that didn't quite make the cut. . .

My panel of friends/parents/art teachers and I all agree, that when compared to the other drawings/paintings/photographs, this work is not nearly as impressive.

Not that it is necessarily bad, but my other work that is going into the portfolio is better. . . at least I hope so. . .

Even though it has seemed a little overwhelming to sort through the past four year's worth of work, this portfolio has been a fun way to document my progression as an artist.

I have so much to learn and so much to explore, but, I'm enjoying the process.

A favorite in 3D

Something I drew in APWH class, cutout, and pasted to a clean sheet of paper. . . It's a favorite because of the simplicity. . . no words. . . not fuss, just two images that symbolize the day.

In color

Because most of my sketches are done at random times/random places, many of them are black and white either pen or pencil. These are different, and I actually had colored pencils and pens with me.

I still cannot believe it has been a year and almost two months now! I have not missed a single day.

it was so nice to finally have an opportunity to spend a few hours painting. wish that i could devote more time each week to this, but i stay far too busy.

I feel terribly accomplished! Evidence that yesterday marked a year's worth of journal entries.

Amazed at how distinctly I can remember each day and amazed by how much my life has changed in a year.
